Current Research Projects
Statistical communication
We are examining both how statistics are communicated to the general public and how they may be best perceived.
Groupworthy Data Science Activities
Students’ Self Perceptions
This project was led by Jett Palmer, who was interested in exploring how an instructor’s pedagogical methods were associated with aspects of students’ social identities (e.g., disciplinary identity). Jett presented on this research during the 2023 eCOTS Poster Presentations.
Increasing Cognitive Engagement in Surveys
We are actively engaged in data analysis projects for members of the local Winston-Salem community. Currently, our focus is on data from the Reynolda House. We are helping the Reynolda House manage, analyse, and visualize their data.
